SAP ETD Highlights
HANA Smart Data Streaming (SDS) collects log files from every connected system. The data therein is then normalized, pseudonymized, and further enriched before proceeding directly to a SAP HANA database for analysis. SDS can also pass the data on to an archiving solution.
Logs can contain suspicious activity. By analyzing them, SAP ETD can determine whether they correspond to any known threat pattern and sound the alarm in case they do.
SAP ETD aids security analysts in monitoring their systems in real time. It also offers the ability to compare historic data against known threat patterns. This in turn makes it possible to identify new patterns that can be incorporated into future ad hoc analyses.
Data from security information and event management (SIEM) software and third-party security solutions can be fed into SAP EDT’s analyses.
